On Monday, January 22, we had a wonderful session with a number of students who participated in the minor (lab track) in our lab last semester:
- What went well?
- What can be done better?
- What did you learn?
- What would you recommend to new students starting in February?
While enjoying delicious soup and sandwiches in our living lab in the Modestraat, tips & tops were exchanged, with which we continuously improve our education. Research insights have also been collected, which we share with the professional field.
Tips & tops
The tour of Tours that Matter: Amsterdam North changed from a “metro station” to a district with, for example, a mill and a butterfly garden. Organizing our own Christmas party was greatly appreciated; the students also got to know each other better thanks to a question game. The Prototype Market outside on the square was also a highlight: we received more feedback from passers-by, from passing groups of network partners and teachers: all these different ideas have made our concept even better. What the students sometimes found difficult were last-minute changes in the schedule or the digital environment in which not everything was easy to find.
And tips for new students? “Just breathe!” – don’t think too much, but ask questions to your fellow students, residents, the lab team and the partners around Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam North.
We thank Jasmin, Joëlle, Emma Jo and Tygo for their valuable feedback!
