As a future designer of tourism and leisure products and services, it is important to look closely at, experience and analyze the places for which you design them.
Within the lab, we call this step one of ‘Local Knowing’. Not only spatial aspects play a role in this, but also social aspects. Or: how easily can you get here by foot, by public transport or by car? Is this a place that invites you to stay there longer or do you prefer to walk through as soon as possible? Does a resident experience different things than a tourist, the cleaner or even the mayor?
On Friday 3 September, all student groups started working with tools from the Placemaking world while looking through the eyes of different target groups / perspectives.
