In the 2022-2023 academic year, we challenged the students to design a creative product in the field of tourism or leisure in order to transform the Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam North into a vibrant, attractive and safe place. By applying research methodologies in the field of Design Thinking, New Urban Tourism, Societal Impact Design and Authentic Leadership in combination with regenerative placemaking and storytelling, the students, in collaboration with various partners from our learning community, have delivered the following concepts:
